Dicksie3 - Buster

I read that wrong, I hold my hand up, I thought it was without corporate sales.

Who's ONESEY?!...

GAV SON is an economist and knows his shit... I trust what he says over a bunch of blokes dressed in pig shit smeared robes who pray to inanimate ancient rock formations...

Who's ONESEY?

Re: Billy Bonds Stand
the Math? What are you, some wannabe american?

We're going to get loads more from the corporate side.

TCHammer444 11:42 Fri Jan 8
Re: Billy Bonds Stand
I believe that there is twice the corporate levels available at the OS vs UP. These are going to be pricey compared to current rates as the experience will be much better than UP currently is.

Arsenal turnover circa £3m per home game, yes their tickets are more expensive but that has always been the reason for the move, even before when the Icenlandics were involved, when they looked at the old postal site

whufcroe 11:40 Fri Jan 8
Re: Billy Bonds Stand
Come on then ONESEY OR GAVVY, show me the Math to increase ticket sales by £2.5m a game.

KIA and DRUID TIRESOME on an anti-OS crusade...

Fucking hell, they'd drive a devout Muslim to alcoholism...

Gavros 11:38 Fri Jan 8
Re: Billy Bonds Stand
sounds about right TC son. match day should at least double, and commercial should ramp up massively.

I reckon about £35 million a season more initially, rising over time.

whufcroe 11:35 Fri Jan 8
Re: Billy Bonds Stand
"We are expecting to turnover circa £2.5 - £3m a home game "

How's that work then? Every season ticket holder is paying less.

The difference in capacity is about 17000, lets say the average seat is £50 (over estimate I reckon) then it would bring in £850k MINUS the losses from the cheaper tickets for 26,000 season ticket holders.

It won't be, because it can't be.

TCHammer444 11:30 Fri Jan 8
Re: Billy Bonds Stand
We are expecting to turnover circa £2.5 - £3m a home game with the increased capacity and also from extra corporate deals.

At Upton Park, we turn over half that sum.

It's all been tried before but if this concerted attempt is successful then great.

Try West Ham revenue Olympic Stadium or whatever...

Not hard DRUID JOHNSON SON...

Christ you're dull nowadays / hard work... Never used to be like this... Shame...

Johnson 10:55 Fri Jan 8
Re: Billy Bonds Stand
So I've Googled "West Ham move to Olympic Stadium economics" and nothing on the first two pages says anything about we'll be making tens of millions more from the move.

Seeing as you say there are VARIOUS then maybe you can point me in the direction of just one.

And to clarify AGAIN, I said I don't think we'll make MUCH MORE money, not we won't make more money. Are you going to change what I said every time I say it?

dicksie3 10:49 Fri Jan 8
Re: Billy Bonds Stand
How about have a Google yourself?!... Pretty simple to do... You should find various articles...

If you still want to believe that we won't make any more money playing in a far bigger ground with far better resources in a far better catchment area to attract further investment; then believe in it...

Makes you a bit of a dim plum though...

Sarge 10:49 Fri Jan 8
Re: Billy Bonds Stand
Mildly ironic that nearly 30 years after a bond scheme wrecked the club, a Bonds scheme has widespread fan support

Johnson 10:45 Fri Jan 8
Re: Billy Bonds Stand
Do us a favour and whack up some links to these various sources, please, I'll have a read.

dicksie3 10:40 Fri Jan 8
Re: Billy Bonds Stand
We'll be making into the tens of millions of pounds more in revenue, DRUID JOHNSON SON, as various Economists/sources have specified... I don't know why you find this hard to fathom?!... Do you really think that we'd bother moving ground to just make a couple of million more per year, if that?!... You're brighter than this, DRUID JOHNSON SON...

I think that jumping two places up the revenue table to 7th spot is a big deal, DRUID JOHNSON SON, considering the team's above us in the list are far more established/successful...

We'll move further up the list if we become successful and win trophies as well - and play in Europe every year...

Johnson 10:35 Fri Jan 8
Re: Billy Bonds Stand
Oh and who's kicking up a fuss EggBERK.

The Ys just wanted it for themselves, heard nowt from Chelsea, Arsenal or any other Permierleague club.

Other than fans crying it is state aid, the merits of which are there to argue, only CHARLTON ATHLETIC who seem to be on their last legs anyway are formally doing something.

You can always correct me with C&P of formal complaints from all the other clubs.

Johnson 10:32 Fri Jan 8
Re: Billy Bonds Stand
A) I don't know dicksie.

B) Why do you think this is something I've made up in my head? Read direct quotes from our chairman Sullivan, read the contract, read the estimates that we'll jump all of two places in the revenue stakes.

And to clarify, I've said I don't think we'll be making much more than now, not much at all.

dicksie3 5:57 Fri Jan 8
Re: Billy Bonds Stand
According to you, DRUID JOHNSON MY LOVE, it seems that we won't be making much revenue at all from this move... So, I ask you:

a) Why are we bothering with this move then if we'll hardly make any more money than we do now?

b) As you clearly seem to think that we're surrendering pretty much all of the revenue income streams; how have you come to this conclusion?

PS - we'll make into the tens of millions of pounds worth of revenue increase from what we make currently which is precisley why we're making the move as there'd practically be no point in doing so otherwise.
